Using the poem ‘Life Doesn’t Frighten Me’, pupils explore the artists’ style and encouraged to use a similar apporach in their own work. Really engaging, fun (think 30 kids vibing to Jazz music while painting!) with great results for all ages.

These interactive lessons explore the concept of portraits, delve into visual elements like line, colour, and texture, and introduce critical analysis skills. By the end of the series, each child will create their own self-portrait. Plus, as an extension, pupils will work in pairs to write a gallery label for their artwort. All resources are included.
